Nhlahla died on 15th December 2019 at Athlone Direct Provision Centre in County Westmeath after complaining of chest pains and dizziness. He had an heart attack in the Canteen of Centre run by Aramark Ltd.

Many asylum seekers had complained about the quality of food and treatment by Management.
